Mark Williams, Business Development Manager at Content Guru, competed in a White Collar Charity Boxing event on the 8th of December at Rivermead Leisure Centre, Reading, to raise money for multiple causes. Under his boxing persona, Mark "Spitfire" Williams, he went on to win his match by Majority decision after 3 rounds, much to the delight of fellow sales colleagues who went to show their support. Spitfire is now 2 bouts undefeated, looking for a 3rd win in 2019.
The event was a fundraiser in aid of Cancer Research UK, and people donating to Mark had the option to donate to one of four fantastic causes: saferlondon, Crisis, Medical Aid for Palestinians and Cancer Research UK. As part of his training for the event, Mark lost 10kg in 8 weeks and trained rigorously 5 times a week, only discovering his opponent 48 hours prior to the bout.
Mark received overwhelming support from his colleagues, who contributed £540 towards his £1,000 total, as well as the sponsorship of Content Guru on his vest. Congratulations to Mark from everyone at the Redwood Technologies Group!
