Redwood Technologies has continued its recent run of media appearances, representing the interests of UK SMEs in the latest podcast to be released by the CBI. Redwood Managing Director, Sean Taylor, joined Duncan Tait, Chief Executive Officer of Fujitsu in the UK and Ireland; Suzannah Nichol of the National Specialist Contractors' Council; and CBI Director-General, John Cridland in discussing the relationship between big business and SMEs in the UK.

Taylor joined his fellow panellists in rejecting the traditional notion of the SME as the enemy of big business. The discussion instead highlighted the symbiotic relationship between large enterprises and the UK’s thriving community of SMEs, praising the contribution that the latter has made to the recovery of the domestic economy. The CBI estimates that as much as 99% of economic activity in the UK is now being driven by small and medium businesses, whilst the organisation predicts that medium sized enterprises alone will contribute as much as £50 billion to the economy within a decade.

The full podcast discussion is now available from the Media Centre of the CBI website, and can be accessed here.
