Vehicle fleet owners and managers can now have position reports spoken back to them.

Berkshire, 29th August 2002 - TRACKER Network (UK) Ltd, providers of fleet management and stolen vehicle tracking systems have selected Redwood Technologies, a leading supplier of technology for Enhanced Communications Services, to provide a tailor-made interactive voice response (IVR) platform to add further services to its Communicator product line.

With TRACKER''s new TALK (tracking and location knowledge) service, vehicle fleet owners and managers can now have the location of their vehicles spoken back to them via a touch tone telephone. According to TRACKER this is an invaluable enhancement for owners of smaller fleets or owner drivers, unable to view a monitor, who can now request the visibility of fleet vehicles by calling a telephone number and choosing various options to be spoken back to them. Callers are prompted to enter a vehicle ID and password and can select information ranging from a live update to where a vehicle was at a specified time. Vehicle location is cross-referenced against an Ordnance Survey map.

The service also enables companies to receive updates via an SMS text message service or a pager and can proactively send messages to fleet managers to signal any changes in schedules, enabling companies to enhance their customer service.

Peter Crinson, Product Development Manager at TRACKER Network, commented, "We are committed to providing multiple methods of communicating with fleet vehicles. We knew of Redwood''s capabilities and expertise in the IVR space. Their flexible approach has ensured that TALK will open up the market to smaller fleets and owner drivers who can improve their customer service by knowing where their vehicles are at all times."

For a demonstration of TRACKER''s TALK please dial 0906 3029999 and follow the voice prompts. Calls are charged at 50p per minute.
