Berkshire, 21 January 2002 - Redwood Technologies, a leading European supplier of enhanced communication services, has been named as one of the winners in this year’s Deloitte & Touche London and South East Technology Fast 50 Programme.
Deloitte & Touche are looking for this year’s fastest growing technology companies in seven regions throughout the UK and Ireland. The programme, now in its fourth year, champions the cause of growing technology companies and showcases those companies that have achieved high turnover growth over a three year period from 1998 to 2000.
The Awards ceremony took place at London’s Hilton Metropole Hotel on Tuesday 20 November. Commenting on the award, Martin Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director, Redwood Technologies said, “We are extremely pleased to be a winner in this year’s Fast 50. As a growing company, it means a lot to have our progress measured and confirmed in this way. These are difficult economic times, which makes it all the more impressive to see just how strongly some companies in our sector are continuing to grow. At the end of October, Redwood closed the book on its eighth successive year of robust sales growth – over 90% this time – so hopefully our ranking will improve still further in next year’s survey.”
The Fast 50 programme was started in San Jose, the centre of Silicon Valley, California in 1995 and has expanded to over 20 major cities worldwide, having quickly become the growth benchmark of success in the USA.
Notes: The Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 programme consists of seven regional programmes covering London & South East, The Eastern Region, Midlands, The North, South West & Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Each region hosts an awards ceremony to honour the 50 fastest growing technology companies in that area. Following the regional programmes, the top 50 companies across the UK and Ireland will then be ranked in April 2002.
