The Redwood Technologies Group has been revolutionizing the ways that companies engage with their customers for 27 years. The Group is committed to maintaining its long history of being at the forefront of innovation, and ensures that each company acquisition grows our available offering.

1993-2005: The Group is Born

Redwood Technologies was founded in 1993 by brothers Sean and Martin Taylor. The company rapidly expanded, and by the end of the 1990s Redwood Technologies had deployed its own hardware and software on every inhabited continent.

2005-2016: Move to the Cloud

In 2005, the founders took their technology to the cloud with the founding of Content Guru, the Redwood Technologies Group’s cloud-first organization. At the time, this was a nascent technology, and few other providers were taking advantage.

Over the course of the next decade, Content Guru and its storm cloud solution became firmly established in a number of industries that needed its unrivaled scalability and range of functionalities. As the storm® CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) solution matured, it also expanded globally, with Content Guru establishing sales and support offices around the globe.

2016 Onwards: Strength to Strength

The Redwood Technologies Group was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2016, marking storm as an outstanding example of innovation. This success was rapidly followed by the group expanding into Japan in 2017 with a hugely successful partnership agreement with Rakuten, the Japanese e-commerce giant. With Group revenues growing by an average of 30% year-on-year, this period saw the Group expanding faster than ever before.
