RTStudio ® – System Partitioning and Service Provisioning

RTStudio is the service administrator. This is Redwood’s IP-based provisioning and administration family of products. RTStudio is responsible for distributing services on to your Redwood DNX® and INX™ communications servers.

When you have designed and created a service using RTComposer, RTStudio allows you to upload and manage it on your INX™ from any workstation that has an Internet connection. In addition to provisioning your own service packages, and depending on your contract with Redwood Technologies Ltd., you may also have access to certain Redwood turnkey and custom software modules through RTStudio.

The provisioning part of RTStudio is the facility to upload files and service packages from your workstation to the INX™. Under this section you can:

  • partition the INX™ for easy management
  • upload service packages and assign DDIs to them
  • create or edit user details.

RTStudio uses an Explorer-type tree structure comprising partitions, service packages, files (such as application run files, voice files and DLLs), circuit groups and DDIs. Partitions are virtual subdivisions within the INX™. Creating partitions allows you to organise the services and resources on your INX™ in a manageable tree structure. Every user is assigned to a partition, and can only upload packages and assign DDIs to that partition. If the user has the appropriate user rights, they can also create, delete or access partitions below the one they are assigned to.
