DNX-1200
This is Redwood’s latest intelligent switching platform and communications server. Advantageous features already associated with the DNX-1100, such as openness, ease of configurability, and robustness, are retained and enhanced in the DNX-1200. It also offers increased flexibility and has been designed from the outset to provide the highest density in the most compact footprint. The product has already been selected for a ‘Product of the Year Award’ for the versatility of its architecture, inherent scalability, robustness and ease of maintenance. The DNX has a true multiprocessing architecture. Each DNX has a control processor and one or more communications subsystem. The communications subsystems have on-board processors, running dedicated, real-time, multi-tasking operating systems. This allows the DNX to have many complex applications running at the same time, whilst carrying high traffic loads. The basic architecture of a DNX node consists of a data bus, communications bus, CPU module, resource modules (e.g. Ethernet interface, digital line interface, analogue line interface, voice processing, fax processing, audio conferencing), hot-pluggable power supplies, data storage (RAID), hot-pluggable fan trays, and an optional alarm module (e.g. monitoring cooling fan speed, temperature, power rail voltages, and PSU failure).
