Redwood is delighted to help recognise UK technological innovation as it once again sponsors the Best Use of Technology prize at the Thames Valley Business Awards (TVBMA).

Organised by Thames Valley Business Magazine, the TVBMAs celebrate the diverse and dynamic range of companies operating in the UK’s second-largest economic region, with award categories spanning from SME of the Year and Management team of the Year, to Best Company to Work For, Charity of the Year and the Green Progress Award. The 21st gala TVBMA ceremony will take place on the 19th of November 2015 at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre in the Madejski Stadium, home of Reading Football Club and London Irish Rugby Club.

The Redwood ‘Best Use of Technology’ award is open to businesses of any size and applies to both the users and developers of technology. As Europe’s ‘Tech Valley’, the Thames Valley area is home to a host of innovative SMEs through to 11 of the world’s largest 15 tech companies. Last year’s award was taken home by Newbury-based car dealership Ridgeway for its “Workshop Window” innovation. Through this scheme Ridgeway customers are sent a video walk-through of their car’s health safety check, giving them peace of mind that their vehicle is being cared for and bringing transparency to check-up reports.

2015 entrants to the award will have to demonstrate an innovative approach to the application of technology, leading to a demonstrable improvement in the customer service experience whilst bringing about significant reductions in operational cost and overheads.

Sean Taylor, Managing Director of Redwood Technologies, commented:

“Redwood has been based in the Tech Valley since its inception over twenty years ago. Our business benefits greatly from being within Europe’s most significant tech hub. We are pleased to be able to invest back into the region by sponsoring this award, which showcases business creativity with technology.”
